Clerk to Local Governing Body

The following schools are recruiting a Clerk for their Local Governing Body

Clevedon School, Yeo Moor Primary School, Tickenham Church of England Primary School, Chestnut Park Primary School, Mary Elton Primary School, details of these schools can be found on the Clevedon Learning Trust website

Potential for each school to hold an LGB meeting every term (6 per annum).
The successful applicant will be paid 13 hours per meeting, paid monthly.

Additional working hours may be required through agreement to cover extra-ordinary LGB meetings, Governor Panel Meetings, training events.

Term-time only, Salary £11.70 – hourly rate

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clerk to become an integral member of the Local Governing Body ensuring efficient and effective governance. We would be open to explore with shortlisted candidates the option to Clerk for more than one of the above schools.

We are looking for Clerks to:

  • Advise the LGB on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, including full regard to CLT’s Scheme of Delegation and LGB Terms of Reference
  • Provide effective and efficient administrative support to the LGB.
  • Ensure the LGB is properly constituted
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements
