Examinations

Formal examinations are held as follows:

Year 9 SATS – First week of May [For 2007-08 timetable, SATS dates for 2007-08
GCSE – Year 10 (modular) and Year 11
AS
A2

Internal examinations occur around March for Year 10 and are based in subject areas. Mock examinations are held in November/December for Year 11.

In Years 9-11 all students are entered for examinations, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

In Years 12 and 13 the school pay for examination entry fees, although students will be asked to pay if performance has been unacceptable. Students pay for any resit examinations.
